About Me
Massage and pregnancy have changed my life. After years of athletic pursuits and the accompanying chronic pain I became interested in Massage Therapy and the mechanics of the body. My interest developed into passion and in 2002 I became a Certified Massage Therapist.
In 2007 my life and body were transformed when I became pregnant. Living in a pregnant body was very difficult. I struggled with debilitating back and hip pain, my pelvic ligaments suffered under the tremendous strain of my baby’s weight and I had many sleepless nights. I was so happy to have a baby on the way, but the pain and discomfort made it challenging to focus on the positive and exciting aspects of my pregnancy. Massage helped me to relax and it relieved much of my discomfort. It cleared my negative energy and allowed me to feel excitement and joy. When I became pregnant with my second daughter in 2008, my body needed massage more than ever. I feeling the physical toll of chasing and carrying my firstborn around, and my body hadn’t totally recovered from my first pregnancy. The massages helped to align my body, work out the stresses that come with motherhood, and perhaps best of all, gave me time to relax and pamper myself and the baby growing inside me.
My goal as a Prenatal Massage Therapist is to help mothers in all stages of their journey clear away as much discomfort as possible so they can enjoy one of the most exciting miracles they will ever experience.
